Job Description: Micron Technology is seeking a highly skilled Geopolitical Intelligence Analyst to join our PSOC team in Mexico. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting our global monitoring efforts by analyzing geopolitical risks and providing strategic insights to enhance our global operations. This role involves continuous monitoring and assessment of political, economic, and social developments worldwide that could impact Micron’s business interests.
Key Responsibilities:
Global Geopolitical Analysis: Conduct comprehensive analysis of global geopolitical events and trends, identifying potential risks and opportunities for Micron.
Monitoring and Reporting: Continuously monitor political, economic, and social developments in key regions globally. Provide timely and actionable intelligence reports to senior management, highlighting potential impacts on business operations.
Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess geopolitical risks and develop effective mitigation strategies. Provide strategic recommendations to minimize potential disruptions.
Network Development: Build and maintain a robust network of sources and contacts in relevant fields, including government agencies, think tanks, and industry experts.
Briefings and Presentations: Prepare detailed briefings and presentations for internal stakeholders, ensuring they are well-informed about current and emerging geopolitical issues.
Crisis Management Support: Support crisis management and contingency planning efforts by providing critical intelligence and analysis during geopolitical crises.
Framework Development: Contribute to the development and enhancement of global monitoring frameworks and methodologies, ensuring they are aligned with industry best practices.
Data Analysis: Utilize advanced intelligence analysis tools and software to analyze data and generate insights. Ensure the accuracy and reliability of intelligence reports.
Training and Development: Provide training and support to junior analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the team.
Qualifications:
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, International Relations, Economics, or a related field. An advanced degree is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in geopolitical analysis or a related field, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality intelligence reports.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information and present it in a clear and concise manner.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex geopolitical issues to a diverse audience.
Team Collaboration: Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in using intelligence analysis tools and software. Familiarity with data visualization tools is a plus.
Language Skills: Fluency in English and Spanish is required. Additional language skills are an asset.
Preferred Qualifications:
Industry Experience: Experience in the technology or semiconductor industry is highly desirable.
Regional Expertise: In-depth knowledge of regional political and economic dynamics in Latin America and other key regions.
