The ideal candidate has at least the basic skillsets of imagery analysis, feature data extraction from satellite imagery, and digital mapping who can provide a high level of confidence to us during the interview that they would do well completing these type of tasks in a production environment with goals for quality and timeliness. Also, communication skills are very important in this type of work with an all remote team. We are looking for candidates who interview such that we have a high level of confidence that they will come up to speed quickly and work well with other team members to meet project goals.
Essential SkillsExperience supporting the Janus Geography contract performing feature data extraction.BS degree in Geography, GIS, or related field with multiple GIS courses or equivalent GIS experience.Basic skillsets in imagery analysis, feature data extraction from satellite imagery, and digital mapping.Proven resource on Janus program.

•\tPreferred candidates will have previous experience directly supporting the Janus Geography contract performing feature data extraction for other companies
•\tBS degree in Geography, GIS, or related field with multiple GIS courses or equivalent GIS experience
•\tThis is a remote position and team members will be required to use their personal computer to access their assigned US Federal computer.
•\tEmployees will be sitting in front of a computer looking at imagery and collecting topographic features such as roads, rivers, buildings, etc.
•\tEmployees will be required to complete tasks within estimated hours and meet quality standards
Work Environment
100% fully remote- currently funded through the end of 2025 but the contract goes through 2026.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
