Our Technology Domain client is seeking a Java Backend Developer to join their team. As a Senior Backend Engineer , you will be part of the Retail client supporting Team. The ideal candidate will have Java, Microservices & Kafka which will align successfully in the organization. **Position : Senior Backend Engineer** **Location: Remote :** **Pay rate: $52.00/hr.** What are the top 3 Must Haves. 1) Java 2) Microsvcs 3) Kafka Job Description/Responsibilities • Our Client is looking for a strong Java Developer with experience in Java, Spring boot, Microservices, Kafka, Cassandra • Strongly prefer a candidate who has prior experience at retail client • Development in Java, Spring Boot, Microservice API while providing expertise in the full software development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing, designing, developing, and delivering high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems • Write well-designed, testable, efficient code • Ensure designs follow specifications and deliver superior engineering outcomes • Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review • Drives technical vision and influences product roadmap and vision • Work in a team environments and mentor the junior team members • Honing individual engineering competency using the available enablement programs • Engage in team leadership and people management Skills • 7 + years of coding experience in Java, Microservices, Spring Boot, API Development • Proficient in Core Java technologies & Spring framework • Hands-on experience in the development of RESTFUL web services & Spring Boot based microservices • Working experience in database and storage such as Oracle, MS SQL server and/or No SQLs such as Mongo DB, Cassandra or Redis, etc. • Experience working with cloud platform services and application development such as AWS, Azure, or GCP • Knowledge of commonly used IDEs like Eclipse, IntelliJ, etc. and UNIX scripts • Good understanding of DevOps concepts and process and CICD tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo • Excellent communication skill and participates actively in team meetings discussions • Be a specialist in Object Oriented analysis and design using common design patterns • 3+ years of experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is required. • Experience in Jira, Confluence is strongly preferred. • Strong organization skills with good interpersonal skills and a customer service-oriented attitude. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. • Experience pertaining to Retail/Grocery industry is preferred.
