Weston & Sampson is currently seeking a Geotechnical Engineer with 3-7 years of experience at any of our VT, NH,MA, CT or NY offices. This candidate must have a strong work ethic and who would like to be part of a growing team.   

 

What you’ll do:

Responsible for preparation of proposals, technical reports, specifications, and construction drawings.Comprehensive experience with determining geotechnical engineering properties of soil/rock, geotechnical analyses including slope stability, settlement, and soil/structure interaction, and development of appropriate foundation and site-related geotechnical recommendationsField experience associated with subsurface investigations and foundation construction is required. Dam safety engineering, seepage analyses, and hydrologic/hydraulic modeling related to dams is a plus.

 

What you’ll bring:

MS Degree with a concentration in Geotechnical Engineering is preferred.MA and other NE state P.E. license(s) or ability to obtain within one year.Dam safety experience is a plusFamiliar with geotechnical aspects of Building Codes and Design Manuals.Experience with geotechnical field investigations, construction observation, determining geotechnical engineering properties of soil/rockGeotechnical analyses including slope stability, settlement, and soil/structure interactionExcellent verbal and written communication skillsHighly motivated, responsible, dedicated, and dependableThe ability to work independently and as part of a teamAutoCAD experience
