Geotechnical Engineer
Description
Looking for a Geotechnical Engineer to support various projects in the surrounding area.
Primary Projects: Paving, Infrastructure, Industrial, Residential, and Commercial.
Responsibilities include site investigation, data collection, analysis, and the ability to provide sound engineering recommendations. Office work includes project coordination, data management, proposal preparation, client consultation and report writing.
Day-to-Day:
60 to 80% in-office, the rest is fieldwork
Direct and execute geotechnical project assignments including field exploration, engineering analysis, report preparation and laboratory services
Provide project level development of proposals and reports
Develop and maintain client relationships
Field and laboratory testing
Data collection and interpretation
Project coordination and management
Oversee junior engineers and technicians in the field
Maximize profitability by ensuring appropriate budgeting/pricing and utilization of resources and cost controls
Skills & Qualifications
MUST HAVES:\t
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with a geotechnical emphasis
Looking for 1-10 years of experience in geotechnical engineering
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proven project management skills
Willingness to travel and work flexible hours/shifts on occasion to support project/client needs
Strong interpersonal, oral and written communications skills
Possess keen computer skills to include spreadsheet development and report generation
BONUS:
Prefer a candidate that has successfully completed the FE exam with plans to obtain a PE license
Experience with paving and structure projects preferred

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $48.08
