The Opportunity
Our Neuromodulation business includes implantable devices compatible with mobile technology to help people who suffer from chronic pain and movement disorders. These non-opioid therapies allow us to provide interventional pain therapy to patients throughout the pain continuum.
What You’ll Do
Develops, implements and executes curricula and training content to the field through multiple channels to build field competence in the following areas to drive sales effectiveness: clinical competence, technical knowledge, selling skills, customer understanding, Abbott healthcare economic strategies and resource utilization.
Engages commercial organization through periodic visits to understand the current selling, competitive, clinical and healthcare environment and makes necessary changes to the curriculum to ensure employees are adequately trained.
Ensures comprehensive course materials are maintained online.
Determines in partnership with different areas and stakeholders the methodology. Coordinates the development of learning aids. Conducts and/or support training sessions, product demonstrations, and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness Of learning and its applicability
In collaboration with multiple stakeholders (Education, Healthcare professionals, Marketing, Sales, etc.), develops, implements and executes continuing education for Abbott employees and distributors on different therapy and sales best practices using different methodologies.
Mentors new and junior Clinical Instructors.
Obtains information from customer and technical organizations, engineering, software and product requirements to develop learning programs.
Oversees the process to ensure training materials and delivery strategies are updated and relevant to the needs of our internal employees and distributors through collaboration with Product Division, Marketing and Education peers.
Manage the programs, identifying necessities, defining, coordinating and programming behavioral training courses for the commercial team , aiming to motivate and increase the efficiency.
Required Qualifications
Associates Degree Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Life Sciences, Nursering or equivalent
Equivalent or Similar combination of education and work experience in the field with sales skills.
Minimum 5 years on industry or training Management Ability to apply the fundamental concepts and practices to conduct needs assessment and design learning programs.
Understanding and expertise in the Technical & Sales aspects and application of current and new products in Therapy area driving to the different stakeholders needs.
Affinity for educating others.
Excellent computer and software skills (experience with Microsoft Office, word-processing, databases, authoring programs, etc., to develop presentation materials.
Ingenuity and willingness to develop creative solutions to complex problems within defined constraints.
Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.
Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment.
Ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish projects and learning process.
Ability to travel approximately 50%, including internationally.
Language: Portuguese, English and Spanish Proficiency - Fluent
