Introduction


We are seeking a Business Development Manager to join our Sales and Business Development Material Transportation team. You will be responsible for the business development for the Material Transportation Business Line, encompassing three global product lines: Chute Solutions, Loading and Hauling, and Conveyor Solutions in Mining and Aggregates industries.

Your role plays a crucial part to contribute to our business. 
In this position, you will report to Director, Sales and Business Development Material Transportation.
This position is mainly located in Sorocaba/SP or Nova Lima/MG and it involves up to 30% of national travel.
 

Team you belong to


You will join a multicultural team dedicated to Business Development for the Americas for the BL Material Transportation MTB part of BA Consumables CNS dedicated to grow the Sales and deploy strategic initiatives together with Sales local teams in the North American (USA, CAN, MEX) and South American (BRA, PER, CHI) Markets Areas, which have been detected as priority for growth for the BL. Main purpose of the team is to influence sales activities and deliver the Orders Received (OR) for strategic plan for 2024 – 2027. 
We work closely with internal / external stakeholders, such as TSS, Site Managers, Customers in Brazil, and Product Line PL team members in Finland, Australia and Europe.

What you’ll do


Responsible for the business development for the Material Transportation Business Line in Brazil, encompassing three global product lines: Chute Solutions, Loading and Hauling, and Conveyor Solutions in Mining and Aggregates industries.
Support growth and Product Lines priorities implementation in the region by facilitating opportunity creation / detection with MAs and aid smooth opportunity management by the PL.

Interact with PL, TSS and SAMs to ensure customer needs are understood.
Follow the preparation of engineered and transactional proposals, collaborating with PL and market area sales teams to meet customer needs. 
Engage in commercial negotiations if needed to achieve optimal outcomes.
Launch business development initiatives in selected market areas to drive sales growth and increase product awareness. 
Conduct product training for site account managers, organized workshops with customers, and present at conventions.
Develop contractual business concepts for each product line, aimed at increasing long-term service agreements.

Basic scope for the life cycle service agreements including: equipment’s, parts, consumables, on site services and online services through digital tool, supporting the customer with the operation and maintenance strategy through the life time of the asset.
Provide Support to the Projects execution team in the region to aid a smooth handover and clear transition from Sales to Delivery, and maximum BL performance. 
Support with claims, variations and troubleshooting.


Who you are


Bachelor’s in mechanical, industrial, electrical or chemical engineering.
Solid experience in commercial role in mining sector.
English language, reading, writing, and speaking skills at an advanced level is mandatory.
Strong communication and influence skills, team management experience, and interpersonal and presentation skills to manage internal and external interfaces.
Previous experience in sales of equipment or wear parts would be an advantage.
Having Power BI, Salesforce and SAP knowledge is a plus.
