Gift Shop Attendant

POSITION PURPOSE:

The Gift Shop Attendant is responsible for overall guest satisfaction and exceptional customer service by engaging the guests and anticipating guest’s needs. This includes receiving, put away, order filling and preparation of all outbound and inbound shipments.


Essential Job Functions:

Responsible for sales, stocking shelves, pricing inventory in the gift shop.

Receiving and processing shipments of food, beverages, sundries, appeal, glass and ceramic ware, souvenirs etc. for a high volume gift shop.

Organizing, stocking and labeling of incoming items.

Re-stocking the gift shop, assisting with cashiering and breaks. 

Handle all cash and credit transactions and ensure proper payment is received for each purchase.

Unpack and check-in all incoming boxes of products, tag and display all new inventory and re-merchandise product displays as needed.

Carefully prepare merchandise for shipping as needed and accurately document appropriate shipping data.

Maintain a welcoming presence on the Gift Shop floor and monitor general cleanliness of the area.

Work creatively and diligently to exceed budgeted revenue and profit goals.

Participate in monthly inventory process.

Attend scheduled brand trainings and assist with special projects/promotions in the Gift Shop as needed.

Verifies accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments and orders.

Stacks and arranges products.

Maintains clean work area to ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Other duties may be assigned.


QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:


EDUCATION

High School graduate or equivalent required. Additional training and education is highly desirable.


EXPERIENCE

Previous cash handling experience required. Previous work experience should include working in a high-volume environment. Must be able to work varied shifts to include weekends and holidays.


LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES

Must be able to obtain a Health Card from the Southern Nevada Health District and a TAM Card


OTHER

Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other associates.
