Position Description
Manages the operations of all hospital gift shops to include the purchasing, receiving, pricing, inventorying, restocking, and displaying of merchandise. Responsible for successful achievement of financial and service objectives.
Position Requirements
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:
1. B.S. degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field and two years responsible experience in retail management and merchandising; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
2. Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
3. Effective organizational and time management skills.
4. Recent volunteer experience.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED:
1. Retail experience in non- profit gift shop with volunteer staff.
2. Experience in supervision of volunteer staff.
3. Basic knowledge and skill in the use and application of personal computers and word processing, database, and spreadsheet software programs.
4. Experience in the use and application of computerized retail applications.
