By equipping the brightest minds with the best resources available, we provide an invaluable edge in real estate. **About the Role** We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled GIS Analyst to join our dynamic team. This role focuses on collecting and producing geospatial data for use in CoStar’s market-leading real estate research and analytics products. The ideal candidate will be proficient in creating and maintaining spatial data using GIS software and have a keen understanding of real estate terminology and urban planning principles. **Responsibilities:** + Use GIS software to edit and maintain geospatial data assets for CoStar’s real estate research & analytics products. + Acquire and analyze geospatial data from external vendors and incorporate into our platforms. + Utilize GIS software to create, update, and maintain maps and other visualizations. + Ensure data integrity by conducting regular checks and implementing quality control measures. + Collaborate with team members on projects that require GIS support, providing insights and expertise on geographic data. + Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in GIS and apply this knowledge to improve the efficiency and capabilities of the GIS department. **Requirements:** + Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Urban Planning, or a related field. + 3 - 5 years of proven experience as a GIS analyst or similar role, with a strong foundation in mapping and spatial analysis. + Proficiency in GIS software such as ESRI ArcGIS Pro, QGIS, or similar platforms. + Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy. + Familiarity with ESRI API/ Portal data from municipal, county and state government sites. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with various stakeholders. + Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with varying deadlines. + Experience in data collection, data entry, and data quality control. + Knowledge of cartographic principles and spatial data management. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Experience working with real estate or urban development projects. + Advanced degree or certifications in GIS or related fields. + Experience developing custom GIS tools and applications. + Familiarity with remote sensing technologies and techniques. + Familiarity with international geographies and the different types of real estate data. **WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?** When you join CoStar Group, you’ll experience a collaborative and innovative culture working alongside the best and brightest to empower our people and customers to succeed.
