GIS Analyst- On site

POWER Engineers, Inc., through its Environmental Division, provides planning, permitting, engineering, site assessment, and corrective action services to clients worldwide.  POWER Engineers is seeking a GIS Analysts to join our Mapping & Analysis team in our Phoenix, AZ, Denver, CO, Salt Lake City, UT, or Boise, ID office locations.

This position will be on site within any of the covered states listed above.

Roles and Responsibilities

This position provides GIS mapping and analysis support for environmental planning, permitting, and construction projects throughout the Western US.  Candidate should be a self-starter with the desire and ability to take the lead on projects and possess the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. The GIS Analyst will provide support for projects including:

Project-based task managementProject coordination as it pertains to performing project tasksData collection, processing, analysis, and reportingData management and documentationCartographic design and map productionWeb and mobile field surveysQuality assurance and control

 Required Education/Experience

Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Landscape Architecture, Planning, Environmental Resource Management, or a related field with a specialization in GISFive (5) + experience in environmental consultingFive (5) + professional experience using Esri GIS software (ArcGIS Pro, Field Maps, Survey123, ArcGIS Enterprise/Portal)General awareness of AutoCAD, Python, Visual Basic, Arcade, or SQL ProgrammingPresentation-quality cartographic skills (portfolio examples are welcome)Excellent oral and written communication with the ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical staff/managementStrong general computer skills (troubleshooting/problem-solving)Proficiency in Windows OS and Microsoft Office SuiteStrong attention to detail

Base Salary Range:  $65K - $75K

The range for this position is being displayed in compliance with all state and local regulations. Salaries are set based on several factors to include an individual's job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education. This means that no two candidates are alike. The range provided above does not include additional compensation such as bonus, health benefits, vacation, 401(k) match, etc.
