Farnsworth Group is seeking a GIS Analyst in one of the below posting locations. In this role, qualified candidates will design, develop and deliver geospatial analysis, programming and data management. This will include data and mapping of infrastructure, transportation, stormwater, and other information that help a community monitor and operate the systems that are vital to day-to-day life of residents. Posting Location(s) for this role: Tinley Park, IL Job Activities: + Manage municipality GIS projects and databases + Creation of new maps, editing maps, troubleshooting and resolving database information + Data and mapping of infrastructure, transportation, stormwater and others + Assist in various tasks associated with local agency inquiries and interact with members to determine their data and GIS requirements. + Conduct data collection fieldwork and independent research + Create and edit geospatial data using digitizing techniques Specific Requirements include: + Bachelors Degree in Geographic or Cartographic Science, engineering or related field of study from an accredited university. + 5 - 10 years of related experience + ArcGIS experience + Ability to work in the field and in the office + Some travel required Desired skills include: + Land Surveying and Mapping experience and/or training, highly desired + GISP certification + Python Scripting + Familiarity of AutoCAD and/or Microstation + Field Collection of utility features using GPS + Database development About Farnsworth Group Farnsworth Group is a 135-year-old engineering, architecture, and surveying firm with over 600 talented professionals across a nationwide network of 24 offices.
