Job Description:
GIS Data Management
Supports the university’s GIS infrastructure, including the base map, master plan, and utility datasets. Compiles spatial data from various sources such as surveys, as-built documentation, field measurements, and digital imagery. Uses GIS desktop and web applications for data integration and dissemination. Preforms quality control and assurance on GIS and CAD data, verifying accuracy against legal survey documents and existing records.
Field Data Collection and Verification
Conducts field validations to validate and update spatial data, ensuring accuracy in records. Utilizes LiDAR scanning, GPS data collection, aerial drone imagery, and physical measurements to document construction activities and existing infrastructure. Processes collected data and integrates it into the GIS enterprise system.
Mapping and Other Deliverable Development
Develops web maps, applications, dashboards, and other digital deliverables using Esri tools. Documents campus activities through drone mapping and related geospatial technologies. Works with stakeholders to define project requirements and objectives.

Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
NORMAL WORK SCHEDULE:
Monday thru Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; total hours per week = 40
Expected Salary:
$29.77 to $31.03 Based on Experience
Minimum Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization or an equivalent combination of education and experience. GIS or AutoCAD proficiency required, per the unit's needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prefer Bachelor’s degree in geography, computer science, engineering, or related fields, one to three years of experience preferred. Familiarity with utilities and IT infrastructure, networks, and drone mapping is helpful but not required. Working knowledge of GIS devices and imagery preferred. The ability to read plats/legal descriptions is appropriate but not mandatory.
