GIS Specialist II - SNAP
Job Description Evergreen, Insight Globals Manage Service Division is partnering with one of the largest utility companies to help support their Electric Knowledge Mgmt remote sensing team in the form of GIS data analytics, data processing and QA/QA support. This team is responsible for all Areal and Lidar collection of Electric Assets and you will be responsible for: - Photogrammetry and Ortho processing - Collect, analyze, and interpret geographic information provided by geodetic surveys, aerial photographs, and satellite data. - Research, study, and prepare maps and other spatial data in digital or graphic form for legal, social, political, educational, and design purposes. - Work with Geographic Information Systems (GIS). - Gather and analyze spatial data. - Plan satellite and aerial surveys - QA and QC of Survey Base Maps coming from internal and external partners - Updating Project Wise after QA/QC process - Publishing data to PG&E database ensuring accuracy standards - Writing reports for the Survey Base Map using geospatial and remote sensing data - 3D imagery, Point Cloud, and GIS manipulation - Assist team members with day-to-day tasks We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. Skills and Requirements BA/BS Degree from accredited college in Geomatics, GIS, Geography, Engineering, or other related discipline.  2-5+ years of GIS/ESRI experience  Orthophotography, Photogrammetry, or Lidar experience  Remote Sensing experience  Experience with ESRI ArcGIS, 3D Imagery, and Point Cloud  Strong QA/QC background  Background in Surveying  Ability to perform basic queries (spatial and non-spatial)  Demonstrated experience or exposure using SAP  Experience with managing project data and documentation.  Excellent communication skills both verbal and written  Works well independently but able to develop collaborative relationships Past utility/PG&E or electrical experience null We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
