CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a GIS Technician I to join our Asset Management Team located in either Colonie, NY; Norwell, MA, or Houston, TX.

The GIS Technician I is responsible for providing Geographic Information System (GIS) technical services, which includes map design, data creation, and basic spatial analysis and data management for the company's external and internal projects.

REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS certificate, or related degreeA minimum of 1 year of relevant GIS experience is requiredBasic Microsoft Office skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.Basic ESRI ArcMap/ArcGIS Pro software skillsBasic knowledge of geographically referenced data required (projections, datum, map scales, etc.)Familiarity with AutoCAD, Smallworld, MapInfo, Google Earth a plusStrong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures and perform tasks with a high degree of efficiency, accuracy, and qualityStrong problem-solving skills and ability to balance details with the big pictureStrong written and verbal communications skillsStrong organizational skills and ability to multi-taskAbility to work independently and as an effective team memberAbility to conduct yourself in a professional manner with both internal and external customers SALARY RANGE:

$46,000 - $57,000

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
