Description Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced General Ledger (GL) Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or inventory-based environment. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and assisting with month-end and year-end closing processes. Key Responsibilities: + Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate financial reporting. + Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals and adjustments. + Perform account reconciliations, including bank, balance sheet, and intercompany accounts. + Assist in the month-end and year-end close processes. + Analyze financial data and provide insights to support business decisions. + Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies. + Support external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations. + Assist with inventory accounting, including cost analysis and variance reporting (preferred). + Work cross-functionally with operations and supply chain teams to track financial transactions. Requirements Qualifications & Skills: + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. + 2-4 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or inventory-heavy industry. + Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles. + Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar preferred). + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. + Excellent communication and organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications: + Experience in cost accounting or inventory accounting. + Knowledge of manufacturing processes and standard costing.
