Assistant Project Manager

Job Description

We are looking for an Assistant Project Manager to support our growth. The position will assist the President and Project Manager with various project support needs and act as a liaison between clients and general contractors/owners.

ResponsibilitiesManage and oversee all aspects of glass and glazing projects from start to finish.Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure project success.Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets.Manage project schedules and ensure timely completion of all tasks.Monitor project progress and adjust as necessary to ensure project success.Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols.Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project progress.Manage project budgets and ensure projects are completed within budget.Evaluate project outcomes and provide recommendations for improvement.Help coordinate and manage projects from inception to completion.Review work plans and contribute ideas for cutting costs.Carry out weekly and daily operational reporting in an accurate and timely manner.Facilitate communication between office and field staff.Track and directly report project status updates to the project manager.Help problem-solve issues and suggest ways to improve the project.Organize, file, and maintain all current project documents.Assist in ensuring compliance with contract specifications.Help create, manage, and maintain project budgets.Coordinate and execute daily administrative tasks.Help create and adhere to project timelines and calendars.Consult with and gather information from inspectors, engineers, subcontractors, etc.Maintain positive vendor and client relationships.Ensure projects adhere to set schedules and meet client goals.Prepare contracts to be closed out with all information required by the customer, including as-built drawings, videos, and punch lists.Maintain job files.Work with subcontractors, utilities, and other stakeholders.Review subcontractor videos, match, and approve invoices.Other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsBachelor’s degree in construction management or a related field preferred.Minimum of 3 years of experience in glass and glazing, commercial construction, commercial glazing, or glazing project management.Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Experience with sewer and water projects is a plus.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.Strong communication skills both oral and written.Ability to multi-task effectively.Focused and supportive of management at all times.Self-starter who works well independently.Adaptable and calm under pressure.Expert problem solver.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in construction management, change orders, RFIs, project coordination, and commercial construction.Glass/glazing construction experience, including interior/storefront and curtain wall.Proficient in responding to Requests for Proposal (RFP).Strong background in construction and construction management.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Work Environment

The role will be based in the office but will also require visits to meet with clients and vendors on sites. The candidate will gain exposure to both field and office capacities, providing a well-rounded experience in project management.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $39.00 - $44.00
