This entry-level role offers hands-on training and the opportunity to learn from experienced glaziers. **Job Description:** As a Glazier Helper, you will assist in the installation of glass in windows and doors. This role involves measuring, cutting, and fitting glass according to blueprints while developing skills in using specialized tools and adhering to safety protocols. You will receive on-the-job training under the guidance of a skilled glazier to gain proficiency in all aspects of the glazing process. Gas and mileage reimbursement will be provided during the probation period, and a company vehicle will be provided afterward. **Responsibilities:** + Learn basic glazing techniques by assisting in measuring, cutting, and shaping glass to fit various window and door frames using hand tools and power equipment. + Prepare installation sites by removing old or damaged glass, cleaning frames, and preparing surfaces for new glass installation. + Install glass panels by carefully positioning and securing new glass panes into frames using appropriate fasteners, sealants, and putty. + Read blueprints to understand glass specifications, sizes, and placement. + Handle materials by loading, unloading, and transporting glass panels safely on job sites. + Maintain tools by cleaning and properly storing them. + Follow all safety regulations related to glass handling, working at heights, and wearing necessary protective gear. **Essential Skills:** + Physical ability to lift heavy glass panels, work on ladders, and maintain good hand-eye coordination. + Basic math skills for understanding measurements and calculations for precise glass cutting. + Attention to detail to ensure accurate glass placement and proper sealing to prevent leaks. + Good communication skills to follow instructions from experienced glaziers and communicate any concerns. + Mechanical aptitude with familiarity with basic hand tools and a willingness to learn specialized glazing equipment. **Why Work Here?** This is an excellent opportunity to join a smaller company with significant growth potential.
