Global Account Manager - GM

This position is part of our Signal & Power Solutions segment out of Troy, MI. 

Summary: 

The Global Account Manager plays a key role in maintaining strong business relationships with customers and partners, identifying new opportunities, and implementing sales strategies that align with corporate growth objectives. This role will be responsible for overall account strategy, sales activities, and achieving business unit and financial goals. The Global Account Manager will lead connection systems sales efforts, including regional customer strategy (in coordination with the global team), representing the Voice of the Customer, and managing revenue, growth, and profitability margins.

Responsibilities:

Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers by delivering excellent customer service, maintaining regular communication, and understanding their business needs.Identify opportunities to expand service offerings and introduce new business channels.Generate new business opportunities through prospecting, customer research, networking, and referrals.Maintain an advanced understanding of the company’s services and create innovative solutions to showcase them.Identify and engage decision-makers, presenting relevant next steps.Manage the entire sales process from proposal to close, consistently reaching or exceeding sales targets.Maintain and update customer portfolios, contact lists, and records, while organizing sales data and activities efficiently.Collaborate with sales, finance, and operations teams to develop customer proposals, support the onboarding of new business, and establish standard operating procedures (SOPs).Stay up to date with industry and business development trends by participating in professional development opportunities, reading relevant publications, and maintaining personal networks.Proactively address challenges and implement effective solutions.Provide prompt and responsive customer service, resolving client issues efficiently.

Must-Haves:

5 years in account management or business development in a relevant industry.Strong sales acumen with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.Solid problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex challenges.Experience managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to closingAbility to collaborate cross-functionally with sales, finance, and operations teams.Proficiency in CRM tools and maintaining organized sales data and records.

Nice-to-Haves:

Experience in global account management or working with international customers.Familiarity with the connection systems industry or similar technical fields.Knowledge of industry trends and ability to adapt to changing market conditions.Experience developing and implementing innovative sales strategies.Involvement in professional or industry organizations.Bilingual or multilingual capabilities for working with global clients.
