Global Banking & Markets (GBM) is a dynamic, multi-faceted division that partners with all parts of the firm to deliver banking, sales and trading capabilities to clients around the world. The Control Office within GBM is responsible for first line of defense independent key control assessment to ensure business, operational and engineering execution is performed in a demonstrable, measurable and sustainable way versus divisional standards. For every trade agreed, every new product launched, or market entered, every transaction completed, the Control Office ensures that key controls mitigate associated risks to enable secure and seamless business flow.

YOUR IMPACT

We are looking for an experienced professional with a passion for risk and control management to join our Control Office team that resides within the Global Banking and Markets (GBM) organization. 

In this role, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the risk culture and control framework across our Global Markets division, including:

Deep dive in analyzing and evaluating front to back processes, risks, and controls across the Global Banking Markets Division, with primary focus on OperationsEnsure that the division’s controls are optimized and mitigate associated risks Implement and establish the minimum controls standards for the divisionDrive continuous improvement of the risk and control culture and environment Tackle challenges in an evolving regulatory environment, and find solutions that empower global marketsCollaborate across division to deliver strategic insights and recommendations 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Basic Qualifications 

Bachelor’s degree with minimum 3 years of industry experience Experience in Global Markets in capacities such as operations, audit or risk managementStrong control mindset with a passion for risk managementAbility to think strategically and to drive changeExcellent communication skills to clearly articulate ideas Ability to present to stakeholders with impact and influenceGood interpersonal and teamwork skills to collaborate as a global team and build strong relationship with key stakeholders across DivisionsTechnical & Analytical focus with strong attention to detail Proactive, self-starting individual with high levels of ownership 

 

Preferred Qualifications 

Advanced Excel Skills preferred Knowledge & experience in the Financial Industry, particularly in Global MarketsUnderstanding of risks and controls across Global Markets Experience managing projects and building and maintaining stakeholder relationshipsExperience in gathering and documenting requirements with full traceability

Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $100000-$235000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
