Team Description:

Global Currencies and Emerging Markets Cross Asset Group is responsible for marketing, structuring, and trading Global Emerging Markets products in Asia, with a focus on Latin America and Central Eastern Europe Middle East and Africa.  Products range from EM currency government bonds and Supranational bonds, hard currency and local currency credit, and FX.

 

Responsibilities:

- Market making and generate trade ideas in EM macro products, with a focus on EM local currency supranational bonds and government bonds across Latam, CEEMEA, Asia.

- Work closely with trading, research and strategists in the different regions to develop macro trade ideas.

- Drive projects to automate execution and booking

- Back up other members of the team

 

Basic Qualifications:

- Relevant Bachelors degree or equivalent qualification with an excellent academic record

- 3+ years of relevant experience

- Strong logical thinking and reasoning ability

- Ability to understand and learn abstract and mathematical concepts quickly

- Results-oriented

- Strong attention to details, solid work ethics and high level of self-motivation

- Ability to be flexible within a team environment

- Demonstrated client service focus and ability to build relationships across different levels, functions and regions

- Ability to balance multiple, time-sensitive projects while maintaining a longer term, strategic focus

 

Preferred Qualifications:

- Multi product exposure, focus on Rates and FX.  Understanding of simple structured products and derivatives preferred.

- Speak at least one major Asian language (Mandarin, Japanese, or Korean)
