Job Duties: Associate, Trading with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in New York, New York. Responsible for market making, risk management/hedging, inventory management, and business management for interest rate and currency derivatives across Latin America, including interest rate swaps, cross-currency swaps, and inflation-linked swaps in Mexico, Colombia, Peru, and Chile. Participate in various steps of structuring rates and local markets trades, including pricing, execution, and risk hedging, to provide tailor-made solutions to the team’s clients. Work with both local and offshore counterparts in the marketing and execution of both flow and structured trade ideas. Increase market share and client penetration in the products within the region of scope and build a strong franchise while training and developing junior traders to help in business expansion. Perform credit and counterparty risk management. Support different areas within the Firm that have exposure to the region and need local expertise of the financial markets and their conventions.

Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Computer Engineering, or a relevant quantitative or computational field such as Industrial Engineering. Two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Prior experience must include two (2) years with the following: covering interest rate products, Foreign Exchange (FX) products, and other Fixed Income derivatives including cross currency swaps, interest rate swaps, and inflation linked swaps; working with local networks and access to local market participants and regulators, which entails understanding local regulations in Mexico, Colombia, Peru, and Chile; pricing and market making of interest rate swaps, cross-currency swaps, inflation-linked swaps, and FX forwards in Mexico, Colombia, Peru, and Chile; pricing derivates in Latin America and experience with institutional investors; working in a trading role monitoring risk emanating from client transactions and structured trades; and communicating with investors, clients, and internal teams and marketing of financial derivatives on current market context and relevant upcoming and past macro-economic events. Travel required: 5% of time for domestic and international trips.

Salary Range: Annual base salary for this New York, New York -based position is 156,000.00/year - $225,000.00/year.
