Team Overview

One Goldman Sachs (One GS) is the firm’s cross-business strategy to provide a more comprehensive and integrated approach to serving our global client franchise. Through One GS, our objective is to leverage the full capabilities and relationship network of Goldman Sachs, to simplify access to the firm for our clients, and to promote a holistic long-term coverage ethos. 

The One GS Business Development Team acts as the centralized point of connectivity between Asset & Wealth Management (AWM) and Global Banking & Markets (GBM) to drive commercial opportunities across businesses. The team delivers the full capabilities of the firm aligned with client life cycles to enhance the holistic relationship and coverage of these clients.

Role Overview

The analyst role is within the global One GS Business Development team with a particular focus on the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) market. Analysts in Bangalore are aligned to a specific global geography. 

The broad range of responsibilities offer the successful candidates an excellent start to their career in Business Development with comprehensive training, broad exposure and access to a first-class network for career advancement. The role will also provide opportunities to interact with bankers, private wealth advisors, investors and senior leadership.

Job Responsibilities

Build and maintain deep relationships across Investment Banking, Wealth Management, Asset Management Private and other business lines to create a deep understanding of client needs and referral opportunitiesCollaborate with Investment Banking on significant mandates to identify opportunities to deliver a broader range of services to clientsPreparation of materials to support referral origination discussions with stakeholdersMaintain dialogue with stakeholders to monitor and track the life cycle of each referralProvide senior leadership and other key stakeholders with accurate, real-time data to drive accountability, measure success, and enable better mapping of opportunities of enhanced client servicesPartner with Engineering, Finance and Compliance to drive the build-out of processes, infrastructure and tech solutions to streamline referral submission, tracking, data management and reporting related to One GS initiatives

Basic Qualifications

Master’s degree in economics, finance, accounting or related field Bangalore locationResults-oriented with the ability to produce high quality work in a fast-paced environmentProficient in Microsoft Office, specifically PowerPoint and ExcelStrong interpersonal professionalism and client service skills including the ability to communicate effectively with very senior stakeholdersEntrepreneurial self-starter who will take initiative, learn quickly and work independently. High degree of organization requiredTeam-oriented mindset and desire to contribute to a collaborative culture, with the ability to manage various stakeholdersAbility to exercise good judgment and discretion, and take initiative within coverage sectors
