YOUR IMPACT
The Global Banking & Markets Loan Settlements team is seeking a driven professional who is looking to support our loan trading business across multiple revenue desks, collaborate across divisions and mitigate risk, all in a fast paced and demanding environment. The associate is expected to use their understanding of financial markets and products to manage a team that settles syndicated and distressed loan trades on behalf of the firm.

In addition, Operations provides essential risk management and control to preserve and enhance the firm’s assets and its reputation. For every trade agreed, every new product launched or market entered, every transaction completed, it is Operations that develops the processes and controls that makes business flow.
Loan Settlements is a high-value support and risk management team in Operations that is responsible for trade settlement and cash movement on a large portfolio of Bank Loans across several trading desks.

Grow leadership skills through the oversight of the Loan Settlements team, which is responsible for validating trade documents, settlement of loan trades and all associated cash movementDevelop your critical thinking by investigating and resolving transaction issuesCultivate your problem solving skills through managing and reviewing complex legal documents pertaining to the syndicated bank loan portfolioBuild your communication skills through daily interactions with the firm’s external business counterparts, such as agent banks, clients and trading partnersShowcase your ability to function as a team player in a highly collaborative environment while working closely with internal stakeholders such as the Business Groups, Middle Office, Strats, Legal, Tax, Controllers, Technology, etc. Collaborate with Corporate Loan teams in New York, London, Bengaluru and Asia on initiatives supporting global marketsParticipate in industry initiatives facilitated by the Loan Syndication and Trading Association (LSTA)SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Experience with various types of lending or debt productsCapable of leading a team or providing oversight of processes and performance for other individualsAbility to work with trading counterparties and various internal teams to resolve cash and position discrepanciesAdept at succinctly communicating issues and updates to senior managersFamiliarity with regulatory reporting as it relates to the bank loans industryMeet KRIs and other performance and risk metrics as outlined by managementSelf-starter with the ability to manage multiple deliverables in a time-sensitive environmentBASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of four years of experience in financial servicesAbility to lead and motivate others Proven analytical skills, problem solving ability, and a control mentality paired with meticulous attention to detailAptitude for building relationships and ability to communicate complex issues to a wide array of internal clients with differing levels of product experienceSelf-motivated and proactive team player, who takes ownership and accountability of projects, has strong organizational skills as well as the ability to effectively manage competing prioritiesFlexible and able to work well under pressure in a team environmentPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
