*This position is located in Norwalk, CT with expectation of travel every other week to the Home Fragrance office in South Deerfield, MA for a minimum of 2 days.

Position Summary:

The Brand Manager, Global position on WoodWick and Chesapeke Bay Candle will support the development and execution of global innovation and growth initiatives. The role is a critical team member responsible for ensuring collaboration, communication and strong execution of global plans across all regions and countries.

 

• Manage the business with an eye towards speed and focus on increasing gross margin and overall brand profitability

• Collaborate across all key functions globally and be recognized as a key leader in driving the cross functional team and agenda

• Communicate regularly with regions and countries to ensure they properly adapting the global brand strategy, positioning, architecture, innovation and marketing plans to their markets

• Help refine the global brand strategy and global brand positioning in partnership with your leadership team to align with market trends and consumer insights

 

The ideal candidate will bring at least 3 years of brand management and innovation leadership experience combined with proven ability to drive omnichannel growth in multiple sales channels.

 

Key Responsibilities:

· Help embed the global brand positioning globally by working with local countries and regions

· Help lead development of the short and long term global brand strategy; Partner with countries and regions to help them adopt the global brand strategy into their market with only slight changes to fit the nuances of the market

· Execute the global brand architecture in all brand communications and packaging; Partner with local countries and regions to help them shift fully into the approved global brand architecture

· Be the enforcer of the global brand identity guidelines in all markets; Protect the brand’s immutable core assets and core packaging architecture ensuring all markets comply with the brand identity guidelines in forms of internal and external communication

· Lead portions of innovation process globally partnering with countries and regions to ensure their needs are met and appropriate innovation is launch to grow market share worldwide

· Contribute to the global annual brand planning process with input from the local brand team

· Own timely development and execution of all core assets needed to support a new item launch for omni channel deployment

· Be an expert at consumer understanding. Partner with consumer insights to determine the appropriate consumer research needed to support business strategies and deliver winning propositions to market.

· Understand the global supply chain and procurement landscape to design best in class products to meet consumer needs and financial goals

 

 

 

Required Experience/Qualifications:

· A four-year college degree, MBA preferred.

· 3+ years of brand management experience

· Experience diagnosing business performance using tools like ACNielsen, IRI, NPD or other systems measuring POS and shipment data

· Prior experience in CPG (Consumer Products) or a Durables organization

· Exposure to consumer insights and leveraging analytics of primary and secondary research, emerging trends, POS results and competitor/category actions to drive leadership brand sales.

· Demonstrated ability to deliver results

 

The Connecticut base pay range for this position is from $121,525 to $148,575. Salary will be based on prior experience related to the skills required for this position.
