Roles and Responsibilities
Define and execute category management strategies for the Packaging procurement category globally, while collaborating cross-functionally with stakeholders (specifically the Packaging engineering COE) and leadership to align category strategies with overall business requirementsLead and manage 1 direct report to implement and execute subcategory strategy globally. Continue to develop and nurture headcount to drive optimum benefits.Conduct market research to identify trends, pricing, and competitive analysis within the global packaging category and use this information to guide overall strategiesEstablish and maintain relationships with suppliers and negotiate contracts and terms to optimize cost and quality, and drive sustainability and diversity effortsManage the relationship between GE Healthcare Packaging procurement and the Packaging Engineering COE, working to optimize the output & impact of the COE.Lead and manage critical packaging supplier transfer programs, including conducting supplier quality audits, working with Packaging COE and factory teams on validation and implementation strategies.Manage the QMS compliance demand with the supplier base always ensuring constant compliance to the GEHC Quality Manual.Help establish risk frameworks for a specified category and oversee the risk assessment processes for supplier evaluations and ongoing maintenanceMonitor and analyse category performance metrics, recommending and implementing improvementsDevelop and manage category budgets and forecasts, working on driving usage where is applicableEvaluate and select suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, reliability and risk assuranceDrive Sourcing efficiencies, cost savings, and AP cash generation within the Packaging categoryRequired Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering with minimum of 8 years’ experience in Sourcing or a related field.Desired Characteristics
