Global Category Manager - Industrial Capex

We are looking for a Global Category Manager - Industrial Capex! You will be based at The Island, our office in central Paris. 

Your key missions:

Contributes to Global category sourcing strategy and supports category roadmap development and implementation for Industrial Capital Investments (Capex);Ensures early involvement of Global procurement in Capex projects through on-going review of 3 years Capex planDevelops programs to maximize value creation along 4 main lenses, including margin improvements, best security of supply and quality practices, Sustainable sourcing and technology innovation;Categories in scope : Distilling equipment, bottling equipment, buildings and utilities, civil works, EPCM, Operational technology…Supports the development of the Global Pernod Ricard category strategy for Industrial Capital investments :Develops and executes Global category strategy, in close collaboration with Global Category Director & Global Engineering teamContributes to the definition of roadmap to deliver objectives along 4 sources of valueIs responsible for driving  the negotiations with suppliers on regional and global scale and delivering cost-effectiveness of Capex in balance with technical requirementsDrives procurement activities : Pre-qualification analysis, Supplier selection and validation process, benchmarking, tenders, market insights, global MSA negotiations, Payment Terms and conditions, down payment securing, etc)Drives procurement Total Cost Ownership (TCO) impact, consistently with global strategies;Is accountable for delivery of pipeline of initiatives with margin improvement projectsPlays a key role in supplier identification, development and relationship management :Understands category market dynamics, international commodity prices and secures good supplier intelligenceIs strongly engaged in potential supplier identification (both global & regional players), sourcing base development, and business allocation decisionsIs part of strategic interface towards suppliers - builds strong and strategic relationships with suppliersMonitor supplier’s performance (service level, price level) and drive yearly reviews with preferred suppliesActively participates in Value engineering activitiesOnboards stakeholders at all levels and facilitates transversal ways of working with affiliates & corporate functionsDevelops effective implementation plans for global activities, follows closely with affiliates on identified local initiativesIdentifies and meets local requirement across affiliatesLiaise with Capex managers, technical project leaders and local procurement leaders to discuss the procurement model and ensure alignment;Actively participate to the Pernod Ricard Global Capex Procurement transformation (Smart Capex) :Leads development and implementation of best practice procurement tools and processesIdentifies new opportunities to reach category objectives and anticipates risks which might hinder realization of agreed targets

Master’s of Science in Engineering (preferably in Mechanical, Civil or Electrical), completed by Master’s diploma in Business/EconomyHighly experienced in technical Capex category managementExcellent communication skills: verbal and presenting, proficient in EnglishAdvanced negotiator, developed problem-solving and analytical skillsPractical experience and capabilities in digital & e-sourcing toolsHighly experienced procurement professional with successful, multi-year (10+ years) track record in Industrial Capex & MRO Highly experienced in technical Capex procurement at regional or global level within FMCG;Experienced in building relationship with functional owners and embedding procurement process and performance metricsHigh energy and enthusiasm for new challengesSelf-motivated and ready to take responsibilityEntrepreneurial and solution-oriented mindsetExcellent stakeholder management & alignment capability Ability to combine vision creation with operational engagement (a hands-on approach)Very strong time and activity planning and managementAbility to deliver objectives in the context of time pressureConfident and action orientated, able to make timely decisions based on the available data
