Build up and maintain portfolio strategy in line with the BA needs and define a well-balanced portfolio to minimize risk, to ensure flexibility, to get an advantage position on the supplier marketDefine, deliver and update a Sourcing ListIdentify and onboard new potential suppliers where the need is identifiedIdentify any value improvement activities and steer implementationPresent and align the strategies with BA stakeholdersHandle all negotiations at the Category Supplier Negotiate and maintain necessary global contractsSupport Advance Purchasing with complex / difficult negotiationsManage suppliers in representant of the BASupport Region Purchasing for Quality, Supply and Commercial escalationConduct market survey for the category of Investment in the RegionSupport the plants as next escalation level in case of supply problems (quality or delivery)Share market situation with stakeholdersReport categories performance in regular baseForecast expected price development QualificationsBachelor degree in a relevant field, in exceptional cases an equivalent professional experienceMany experience in the field of purchasing, experience in the automotive are is desirableStrong purchasing portfolio handling (strategy, supplier list, market know how, portfolio analyze, forecast)Experience in RFQ, Offer analyze and comparisonExperience in risk management claim, financeAbility to work with a remote team Project Management experience is a plusFunctional or project leadership experience is a plus English and German language skills in written and spoken Good communication and teamwork skillsMany years of exposure to international business Willingness to travel, about 30% of the timeApplications from severely handicapped people are welcome.
