Role Summary:

The Global Chief Investment Strategist is responsible for communicating and positioning NTAM’s investment views across the broader marketplace and helping drive client discussions and growing the business across the Wealth Client Group and the Global Institutional Client Group. Additionally, the Global Chief Investment Strategist will actively participate in discussions related to the formation of the firm’s views on the economy and markets. They will work in coordination with the CIO of Global Asset Allocation and other investment leaders to develop, as well as share insights for clients and amplify views across industry/media engagements.

The Global Chief Investment Strategist will also lead a team, consisting of the Chief Investment Strategist, North America and the Chief Investment Strategist, EMEA.

The team will be a critical element of our client engagement and build a go-to-market strategy to convey consistent market views within the context of the varying needs of our core client segments:

Wealth Client Group: bring insightful market content to the advisors and their clients and engage in speaking engagements in support of Wealth Client business growth. Institutional Client Group: build a team who could deliver insightful market content to Institutions in the US and globally.

This position will report directly to the Global Chief Investment Officer.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Actively participate in various investment committees and assist in the formation of the firm’s views on the economy and markets.Engage with clients/prospects to understand their distinct research needs, investment goals and risk preferences to best personalize the narrative that represents the firm’s thinking on markets. The team will need a strong knowledge of the client segments to deliver our views with consistency, while differentiating between client segments and their unique goals and preferences.Collaborate with the investment teams, economists and product groups to generate thought leadership content for internal and external clients. Organize and publish outcomes of research meetings and produce investment commentaries that support client needs.Create insights and thought leadership on key market events and trends to help inform investment decision-making. Strategists would drive ad hoc commentary on pertinent issues in accordance with the prevailing house views on asset classes.

Necessary Education, Experience, and Skills:

A College or University degree and/or relevant proven work experience in investment with management skills is required.Advanced Degree and or related Industry qualification (e.g. CFA,CAIA) is preferred.15+ years of experience in investment management as a portfolio manager or analyst.Exceptional public speaking skills, including a minimum of 5 years of regular media (tv, radio, Bloomberg, CNBS, etc.) speaking engagements. Demonstrated experience in communicating in person, via social media and through print. Extensive experience with keynote speaking engagements to large audiences.
