The Role:
The Global Commercial Head Calquence is a key role for our ambitious Hematology expansion – a field that comes with highly diverse and significant scientific and commercial opportunity. Our commitment to creating a leading Hematology franchise has been shown with our continued investment in this space in 2024.

Your main Accountabilities and tasks:
You are accountable for Calquence’s commercial strategy it’s success.You develop, shape, evolve and implement resources and programs to support the full commercial range of lifecycle deliverablesYou work with core markets to prepare for / deliver on all Calquence commercialization and launch programsYou build and shape capabilities in global and in markets to drive state of the art commercializationYou contribute to the broader Oncology Therapeutic Area strategyYou represent Hematology business perspectives to cross functional teams, senior executives and governance committees, ensuring that commercialization priorities are appropriately considered for Calquence.You manage and expand the global commercial /marketing team for CalquenceYou collaborate with an extended team to deliver a sustainable pricing and access strategy for respective indicationsYou contribute actively to advancing, accelerating, simplifying our working and partnering models and processes towards maximum value creation for patients, healthcare, societies and AstraZenecaYour education, knowledge and experience
Undergraduate scientific background. Medical and/or PhD / MBA desired10+ years of pharmaceutical marketing experienceProfound understanding of drug development and commercialization in HematologySolid grasp of ongoing paradigm changes and future trends in healthcare commercializationProven track record of experience / accountability for business success in a major healthcare marketBroad commercial experience with proven track record of key commercialization deliveries (e.g. pre-launch / launch / HTA validation / long term business planning and business case development)Strong strategic thinking, judgement and influencing skillsStrong leadership attributes to set direction, generate commitment, balance short and long term needs, constructively resolve issues, integrate cross functional contributionsProven experience and knowledge of a broad base of external partners and customers including patients, prescribers, payors, providers and in/out license partners.Strong understanding of key commercialization and marketing skill setsP&L ManagementExperienced with key global regulations in the field of Healthcare and Medical compliance and commercialization as well as PharmacovigilanceThe annual base pay for this position ranges from $256,297 to $384,445. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles), to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles), and commission payment eligibility (sales roles). Benefits offered included a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
