The **Global Commodities/ Grower Compensation/ Hedging Manager** will be responsible for grower compensation pricing process (to standardize and support the Corteva pricing process in the seed production contracts), guarantee commodity price indexes are correctly established, and provide commodity price guidance for the planning processes for all regions. This role will be responsible to provide commodity price guidance, globally, for forecasting processes (5- year-plans, budget, and monthly outlooks), global performance reporting within Seed Operations and related areas. The ideal candidate will have a track record in operating in the commodity market, has a laser focus on operational excellence, proven economic knowledge of agricultural market, Finance background and problem-solving mindset.
LOCATION: Johnston, IA. Will consider other locations.
**What You'll Do:**
+ Execute an end-to-end process to guide and support Finance, GSO Regional Leaders and related areas with qualified, technical opinion on commodity price leveraged in production cost forecasting process on Seeds Business (5- year-plans, budget, monthly outlooks, actuals), for all regions.
+ Ensure periodic reviews on seed production contracts , through analysis and reviewing payment clauses, reference pricing periods, commodity indexes, data source, contract basis references to ensure alignment between Seed Business objectives and market metrics.
+ Collaborate with Hedging Managers to identify commodity exposure, support development and deployment of hedge programs where applicable.
+ Partner with Finance, Controllership and Economics teams to ensure communication flow and alignment on commodity prices, assuring coherent and standardized forecast methodology for all regions.
+ Ensure operational excellence throughout grower compensation processes, guaranteeing grower contracts payment clauses are correctly reflected on the commodity forecasting and planning processes, in accordance with internal controls, accounting rules and SOX requirements.
+ Support stakeholders with financial and sensitiveness price analysis, understand market direction in order to answer questions and provide justifications of commodity price variances.
+ Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including senior internal and external management.
+ Support, develop, and/or manage systems to reliably communicate Corteva prices for growers and related information to allow proper execution and risk management.
+ Communicate ideas, recommendations, and data- based decisions clearly.
Qualifications
What You'll Need:
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
+ Strong analytical skills, initiative, great attention to details and problem-solving abilities.
+ Critical thinking of agricultural, very good understanding of commodities and Seeds business.
+ Ability to create and develop new ideas.
+ Proven skills in communicating both upward and downward in the organization.
+ Ability to prioritize multiple tasks with oscillating workloads.
+ Ability to effectively build and maintain relationships. Influence stakeholders in a positive and collaborative manner.
**Experience**
+ Experience with commodity risk management and financial planning (minimum of 5 years).
+ 3-5 years experience in leading projects or process improvement efforts.
+ Degree in Business Administration; Accounting; Economics.
