Global Corporate Banking - Asset Manager - Associate

We are looking for a client-focused, relationship-oriented Associate looking to add value by solving complex problems with our Global Corporate Banking – Real Estate Group supporting our coverage of Global Real Estate Asset Managers. 

As an Associate, you will have intellectual curiosity and drive to contribute to the development and execution of comprehensive banking solutions for your clients. The Global Corporate Banking group is part of Commercial & Investment Banking at J.P. Morgan. Global Corporate Banking focuses on small-, mid-, and large-cap companies that require traditional banking services in addition to investment banking solutions. Each of the sectors is extremely capital intensive and, therefore, financing activity is high ranging from corporate to asset-level finance.

Job Responsibilities

Prepare presentation and marketing materials for use in client meetings and transaction execution, covering topics such as financing alternatives, capital markets activity, capital structure and credit ratings Participate in all phases of debt capital markets and syndicated and leveraged finance origination, execution, and syndication Build and maintain financial models to evaluate implied credit ratings, debt capacity, creditworthiness, and the impact of various capital structures Conduct industry research and comparable company and transaction analysis Coordinate, organize, and drive efforts with management, deal team members and product partners across the Commercial & Investment Bank, globally Support Credit Underwriting Partners by drafting internal approval packages detailing company/credit analysis along with repayment modeling in coordination with syndications Support senior bankers with overall client management responsibilities, idea generation and business initiatives, as well as interact and build relationships with clients  Develop a working understanding of all bank products, including global coordination of client treasury service and liquidity needs

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

Strong corporate finance, analytical, credit and problem-solving skills Exceptional verbal and written communication skills Well organized with a strong attention to detail Natural ability to interact with clients and internal partners Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative work environment Self-motivated, dependable and intelligent Knowledge of corporate finance, credit, treasury services and other corporate and investment banking products Possess or obtain within three months of hire the FINRA Series 79, Series 63 and Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) licenses
