(Global) Cyber Security Infrastructure Engineer
Job Description An employer in the gasket and sealing manufacturing industry is seeking a Cyber Security Infrastructure Engineer to lead and execute their cyber security strategy, enhance security operations, and drive compliance initiatives across their global organization. The goal is to achieve ISO 27001 and NIST 800-53 compliance while adhering to regional security regulations including GDPR & CCPA. They will be responsible for working with the IT Leaders and executive leaders to align security initiatives with business objectives and develop/execute the company's cyber security roadmap. Security architecture and implementation responsibilities will include designing and deploying security solutions for their enterprise IT environment, cloud platforms, and IoT/IIoT systems across 30 global locations. More specifically, architecting, deploying, and enhancing baselines for endpoint security, PAM, email security, firewall configurations, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS). Additionally, vetting and implementing SIEM tools, enhancing identity and access management (IAM), and enforcing role-based and least-privilege access policies. This person must deploy, manage and optimize their current security tools including Palo Alto firewalls (Panorama), HP Aruba switches, Sophos Endpoint Protection, Mimecast email security, and Delinea Privileged Access Management (PAM). They will monitor, detect, and respond to cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and incidents across the global IT infrastructure, implement zero-trust principles and enhance network segmentation, identity management, and access control policies, as well as lead incident response efforts, including root cause analysis and post-mortem reporting. Security automation and optimization is a priority along with threat intelligence integration and response, along with implementing machine learning-driven threat detection for proactive anomaly identification and risk reduction. This person would need to come in and conduct risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests to proactively identify and mitigate security gaps, along with developing and enforcing security awareness training programs for employees to reduce human-based risks. Lastly, they will secure networks and applications used for B2B communications, logistics, and supplier connections, work with procurement and logistics teams to enhance cybersecurity throughout the product lifecycle and vendor ecosystem and perform third-party/vendor security risk assessments and ensure compliance with company security standards. It'll be essential to establish cybersecurity playbooks and response protocols to minimize the impact of security incidents to ensure the protection of enterprise systems, digital platforms, supply chain networks, and IoT/IIoT devices from cyber threats. Skills and Requirements 7+ years in cybersecurity architecture, engineering, network security, infrastructure security and compliance management Experience securing IT infrastructure, cloud environments, and business-critical applications Experience with firewall configuration and management (Palo Alto & Panorama preferred) Proficiency with endpoint protection, email security, network security, and PAM solutions Strong understanding of regulatory compliance frameworks (NIST 800-53 , ISO 27001, GDPR, SOC 2, CMMC) Hands-on experience conducting risk assessments, security audits, and incident response Hands-on experience with SIEM tools, log analysis, other security tools i.e. firewalls, EDR, IDS/IPS, VPN Cloud security experience preferably with Azure/AWS and zero-trust architecture Familiarity with automation, scripting (Python, PowerShell, Linux), and DevSecOps Strong understanding of global supply chain security risks and third-party vendor assessments Comfortable with national/international travel when necessary (potentially 1-3 times a year) Bachelors degree in Cyber Security, Information Security, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent Certifications - CISSP, CISM, CEH, GIAC, CCSP, or Palo Alto Networks PCNSE Hands-on experience with Delinea PAM or similar privileged access management solutions Prior experience working in a global enterprise with multi-site security responsibilities.
