We are seeking a talented individual to lead Global External Affairs and Media Relations at Oliver Wyman. This role will be based in New York City or Washington DC. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
In this position, you will partner with Marsh McLennan’s Head of External Affairs and Media Relations and Oliver Wyman’s Global CMO to develop and execute a global external affairs and media relations strategy for Oliver Wyman, with a focus on growing and enhancing its market position and protecting its reputation.
We will count on you to :
Develop an end-to-end strategy for Oliver Wyman’s external affairs and media relations engagement, ensuring alignment with Oliver Wyman’s global and regional marketing priorities and leveraging the Marsh McLennan’s External Affairs and Media Relations Center of Excellence, including the company’s global media relations team.Lead everything from planning campaigns to measuring KPIs to ensure business alignment and enhanced results.Manage budget for the firm’s use of agencies working with global and regional marketing leaders.Act as the senior adviser on external affairs and media relations for senior leadership across Oliver Wyman.Provide crisis and reputational management advice to Oliver Wyman leadership.Bring together the team on a global and regional basis to work from a single set of standards and processes.Provide development opportunities for talent and strengthen the entire team’s capabilities through coaching and learning.Create strategies for effective external communications to protect the organization’s interests and interpret relevant issues.What you need to have :
A minimum of 12 years of related experience, preferably within the professional or financial services industry or relevant news outletA bachelor’s degreeStrong leadership skills.Broad and strong relationships with journalists and media relation professionals in top tier print, broadcast, digital and trade outlets.Experience with the consulting sectorWhat makes you stand out :

Marsh McLennan is committed to hybrid work, which includes the flexibility of working remotely and the collaboration, connections and professional development benefits of working together in the office. All Marsh McLennan colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one “anchor day” per week on which their full team will be together in person.
The applicable base salary range for this role is $138,500 to $277,100.
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
