In this role, you will have the opportunity to: You will be joining our team of Distribution Planners and a Distribution Planning Analyst. You will report to the Sr. Manager Distribution Planning. The position is part of the supply chain organization located on-site in Medemblik. You represent our Supply Chain department in daily interactions with our Sales and Customer Service colleagues situated all around the globe. You work closely with our local teams (Planning & Buying, Quality, Logistics) to prioritize urgent orders, manage delays, drive process improvement actions. The Distribution Planner is responsible for aligning the supply plan with customer demand. You will allocate existing supply and ensure that new production requirements are released to the plant on time. You proactively address any changes, delays, misalignments in the current plan to meet the customer’s requested delivery date (OTD) as effectively as possible. You take ownership of the planning parameters for your assigned product portfolio and ensure that the master data in our two ERPs (Oracle and SAP) remain aligned. Additionally, you provide timely feedback to our Sales and Customer Service colleagues on expedite requests or any other sales order-related topics. For high-priority expedite requests, you go the extra mile while minimizing disruptions and maintaining the efficiency of standard operations. Your ability to navigate complex processes will help you solve problems effectively. Furthermore, the insights you gather on a daily basis regarding process issues will enable you to identify and initiate process improvements. This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay. To summarize, your daily tasks would include: + Manage Materials & Orders for Medemblik manufactured items in Oracle, including purchase order (PO) management, internal sales orders (SO), and inventory control. + Monitor and Update Supply & Demand in both ERPs: ensure data accuracy and alignment to provide reliable data to both the customer and the production plant. + Review Daily Signals to identify potential issues and take appropriate corrective and preventive actions. + Interface with Production Planning to manage urgent orders and ensure timely delivery. + Coordinate Across Departments (Customer Service, Planning & Buying, Warehousing, Logistics) to improve On-Time Delivery (OTD) for customers and reduce the impact of any delays that occur. + Handle Escalations for Order Expedites and inquiries through coming in through Salesforce, initiating internal actions as necessary Do you recognize yourself in the requirements below? Core Competencies + Analytical Thinking & Problem-Solving – Ability to assess complex situations, identify challenges, and develop effective solutions. + Attention to Detail & Accuracy – Focus on precision in tasks and data to consistently meet high-quality standards. + Adaptability & Resilience – Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities, with the ability to prioritize effectively under pressure. + Customer-Centric Mindset – Strong focus on understanding customer needs, ensuring timely deliveries, and managing urgent requests. + Collaboration & Communication – Strong team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to work cross-functionally in a global setting Education and Experience + Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. + 3-5 years of experience in Supply Chain or a related field. + Experience with ERP systems (preferably Oracle or SAP). + Advanced proficiency in Excel is essential. + Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Dutch or a willingness to learn is preferred.
