Your role and responsibilitiesJob Responsibilities:- Define and execute the unit’s strategy in alignment with global goals, ensuring operational development and profitability.- Oversee engineering functions across global hubs, driving process improvements, innovation, and efficiency.- Establish and nurture senior-level relationships with key customers, articulating opportunities and delivering innovative solutions.- Ensure alignment with cultural sensitivity and global impact considerations, focusing on KPIs such as globalization levels and productivity gains.- Lead and execute change management strategies to support organizational transformation and global integration.- Present cutting-edge technologies at conferences and events to reinforce strategic partnerships.- Guide and mentor engineering teams through training programs, ensuring skills development and operational capability.- Promote collaboration among discipline heads (Process, Mechanical, Electrical, and Automation) to create a unified global engineering entity.- Implement robust processes for project execution, functional safety, cybersecurity, and compliance.- Initiate and manage continuous improvement activities, including agile methodologies, to enhance delivery efficiency and quality.- Conduct regular progress reviews to manage technical risks and exploit business opportunities effectively.- Develop long-term plans to align resources with strategic goals and operational requirements.- Work closely with the supply chain function to build strategic partnerships with key suppliers and optimize procurement strategies.- Oversee the development and delivery of consulting services to meet specialized customer needs, driving major cross-divisional projects.- Act as the escalation point for resolving complex engineering challenges.- Contribute to financial reviews and ensure engineering activities align with cost, profitability, and performance targets.Preferred locations are France, India or China, as the most of the business is situated in these locations.Travelling at this position is up to 20% workload, to visit our Business Line locations on regular bases.
Qualifications for the roleBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field. Advanced training in Design Thinking, Agile Methodology, and leadership is an advantage.10+ years of experience in a similar position, with expertise in all aspects of mechanical engineering, process automation, and project execution.Proven track record in global engineering management, with expertise in strategy development, risk management, and operational excellence.Strong ability to motivate, coach, and develop diverse teams across multiple regions. Experience managing cross-functional engineering units is essential.Familiarity with advanced engineering practices, including cybersecurity, functional safety, and compliance frameworks.Demonstrated ability to build and sustain long-term customer relationships, delivering value through innovative solutions.Strong competency in data-driven insights, strategic planning, and prioritizing tasks to achieve business goals.Expertise in resolving complex engineering and operational challenges through structured methodologies and consulting.Effective at partnering with supply chain, business development, and technical teams to achieve strategic objectives.
