The Opportunity

As the Global Ethics & Compliance Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting the Global Compliance Director in day-to-day administration of the global ethics and compliance program.

The Team

Black & Veatch’s Business Enablement consists of critical groups that help enable the organizations people, projects, and businesses to be as successful as possible.  Functions in this group include Digital & Information Technology, Global Finance, Global Human Resources, Legal, Risk Management, and Government Affairs and Real Estate and Building Services.

Key Responsibilities Support the Company's global third-party due diligence system. Including helping perform due diligence and assist in interpreting results Assist with evaluating and periodically updating compliance policies and procedures. Support the development, implementation and presentation of training, online resources, and communication materials for ethics and compliance program. Assist with vetting of potential joint venture partners, agents, and vendors. Drive ongoing improvement on functioning of program Research and analyze compliance related issues. Maintain internal ethics and compliance SharePoint site. Assist with tracking and monitoring program metrics. Engage with other professionals with an aim toward fostering an effective global corporate ethics and compliance program. Minimum Qualifications

 

Bachelor’s degree.

5 years corporate ethics & compliance experience with a global company.

Experience performing due diligence on third parties such as commercial intermediaries, business partners, suppliers, and customers on a global scale.

Experience in export controls compliance.

Subject matter knowledge of global data protection regulations and standards (e.g. GDPR).

Experience with SharePoint.

Excellent writing and interpersonal skills.

Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.

Excellent problem-solving skills (identify, analyze, research, evaluate, resolve).

Demonstrated ability to be resourceful and creative when confronted with unusual or atypical problems.

Ability to work effectively in a collaborative work environment with senior management and peers.
