Global Finance Project Lead - SAP

 

 

We are seeking an experienced SAP Finance Project Lead to oversee our finance transformation initiatives, driving the transition from traditional SAP FICO structures to the SAP S/4HANA Universal Journal (ACDOCA) model. 

 

This role requires a seasoned professional with deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA, particularly in FICO, along with a proven track record in managing finance-related SAP projects and a results-driven mindset to ensure a seamless migration to a simplified and innovative data model.

 

As a key leader in this transformation, the SAP Finance Project Lead will guide cross-functional teams and collaborate closely with the finance department to design and implement effective, real-time financial solutions globally.

 

Key responsibilities   Team and Finance Collaboration: Lead and mentor the SAP finance project team, working closely with the finance team to ensure smooth integration into the S/4HANA environment. Foster a collaborative, supportive environment to align project goals with finance transformation objectives and encourage shared commitment to a successful transition. 

 

Transition to ACDOCA (Universal Journal): Drive the migration from traditional SAP FICO structures to SAP S/4HANA’s ACDOCA model, unifying financial data and reducing redundancy. Support the finance team in leveraging the new data model for real-time reporting and streamlined finance operations. 

 

SAP Finance Transformation: Oversee the design and implementation of SAP S/4HANA Finance solutions, with a focus on enabling real-time data access and reporting. Champion best practices in finance automation and process simplification to enhance financial operations and reporting capabilities. 

 

Project Management: Manage all phases of SAP ECC to S/4HANA migration projects, from planning through execution and support. Work closely with finance and IT teams to allocate resources, mitigate risks, and ensure timely completion of milestones. 

 

Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as a key liaison between the finance team and other departments, actively collaborating to understand business needs and translate them into SAP solutions. Ensure alignment on transformation goals, providing regular updates on project progress and benefits. 

 

Process Optimization: Partner with the finance team to streamline core processes such as invoicing, reporting, and legacy system integration, and introduce automation to drive operational efficiency. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and leverage SAP S/4HANA capabilities to simplify workflows. 

 

Technical Support and Expertise: Provide advanced technical support for issues related to SAP finance integrations, data migration to the Universal Journal, e-invoicing, and other complex finance processes. Act as a subject matter expert on SAP FICO in S/4HANA and support finance teams in utilizing its capabilities. 

 

You bring these skills, experience & education   Demonstrated experience in SAP configuration, data migration, and integration with other ERP systems - A minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in SAP ERP systems, particularly SAP FICO, with significant exposure to SAP S/4HANA Finance. Relevant experience in the manufacturing sector and a comprehensive understanding of global ERP transformations.  Proven experience in managing and leading cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative approach to transformation, and building alignment on key objectives. 

Proven track record in leading SAP ECC to S/4HANA migration projects, including the transition from FICO to the ACDOCA model. 

Strong analytical capabilities with effective communication skills to clearly convey complex technical concepts to business users. 

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field such as Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or Engineering.  Fluent in English
