The Global Fixed Asset team is responsible for managing Apple’s fixed assets across multiple lines of business such as Research & Development, Retail, Real Estate & Development, Infrastructure Finance, and AppleCare, to name a few. The team is passionate about driving global standardization, optimization of processes and systems and developing a governance framework for rock-solid compliance and meaningful reporting across USGAAP & Local GAAP books and records. DescriptionDescription• Analyse capital purchases/ ICO transfers and record the cost of the newly acquired fixed assets (both tangible and intangible). • Tracking existing fixed assets, recording depreciation, and accounting for the disposition of fixed assets in the SAP Fixed Asset Accounting module. • Preparing accounting analysis, journal entries (“JVs”), reconciliations (“BSRs”), quarterly schedules and reporting, and analysis of construction-in-progress and fixed assets inventory audits. • Support month/quarter-end reporting with the Global Fixed Asset team. • Ensuring financial data is recorded following established company policies and GAAP and ensuring SOX controls compliance. • Collaborate with Corporate accounting on the alignment to correct accounting treatment for Intangibles and other assets. • Support the Local GAAP and IFRS fixed asset accounting in line with the accounting standards adopted across Apple’s global legal entities. • Work on Fixed Asset-related projects as assigned by your manager Minimum QualificationsMinimum Qualifications5+ years of experience in fixed assets accounting or related fieldBachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or equivalent subject.Key QualificationsKey QualificationsPreferred QualificationsPreferred QualificationsExperience in multinational corporate environment or a combination of experience within a corporate environment and a public accounting or consulting firm or other relevant experienceStrong accounting understanding to support complex transactions in Intangible and Other assets.Ability to quickly gain an understanding of the functionality of various accounting systems.Understanding of the accounts payable process, specifically as it relates to the purchase requisitions/orders of capital assetsHigh proficiency with data analysis and advanced knowledge of spreadsheet and database toolsStrong working knowledge of ERP systems (preferably SAP)Knowledge and application of IFRS & Local GAAPAbility to maintain a global perspective and recognise opportunities to align with other GBS regions on similar processes.Effective team player who likes to work in a fast-paced environment.Possess excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills, as well as presentation skills.Mature, responsible, driven, and able to work independently with minimal direct supervision.Demonstrated ability to engage and communicate effectively across the organization and with external partners.Detailed and meticulous, outstanding attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Possess a real passion for process improvement with an approach that urges innovation, elimination of non-value-added work, and efficiency improvements.Ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions.Ability to influence and implement ideas effectively within the Apple culture.CPA and/or Master’s is a plusEducation & ExperienceEducation & ExperienceAdditional RequirementsAdditional RequirementsMore
