Job Description
The Global Forwarding Coordinator role is for a conscientious individual with excellent communication and customer service skills. This individual will multi-task and prioritize duties in a fast-paced environment while providing exceptional service. The Global Forwarding Coordinator supports, collaborates and assists global forwarding personnel with customer shipment details.
ResponsibilitiesUnderstand the processes involved in international shipping from purchase order to delivery of cargo at ultimate destinationAssist global forwarding personnel and other third parties with inquiries and problem resolutionGenerate, file, and maintain up-to-date and accurate customer records, reports, shipment documentation, etc.Provide tracking and tracing services for customer shipmentsProvide support and backup for the delivery and turnoversPerform load-auditsProvide reporting and documentation collection support to global forwarding personnel and ensure customer data integrityEnsure adherence to customer SOPs, government agency regulations, and company standardsPerform other duties and projects as assignedEssential SkillsCustomer service orientedAdministrative supportClerical administrativeMicrosoft OfficeHigh School Diploma/GEDBasic Excel and Outlook - entering and pulling infoAbility to work independently6 months - 2 years previous work experience - ideally in logistics, inventory, supply chain capacityAbility to multi-task and handle high volume of emailsAttention to detailAdditional Skills & QualificationsBA degreeExperience in office or handling data entryOutgoing personalityGood computer skillsDesire for long-term career and advancementWork Environment
Hybrid schedule. Monday - Friday 8 am - 5 pm, can be flexible with start/end time (e.g., 7 am - 4 pm, 9 am - 6 pm). Business casual attire is acceptable (nice shirt, jeans, tennis shoes). Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr.
