The opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Global HR Director to drive strategic and operational HR initiatives that fuel the success of our business. Based at our headquarters in Montreal, QC, and reporting to the President & CEO, you will lead a team of ten HR professionals across our global operations. Your leadership in talent development, employee engagement and HR strategy will be vital in shaping our organizational culture and ensuring our long-term success. This senior-level role requires a global perspective and hands-on involvement in both HR strategy and operations.

Your contribution

As a key member of the management team, you will oversee all HR activities across our global operations. Your mission is to drive HR strategy, standardize best practices and align HR functions with business objectives. You will leverage your expertise in global HR trends, labor laws, and best practices to improve talent acquisition, development and retention, while fostering a culture of long-term employee engagement and success.

Key responsibilities

Strategic HR Leadership: Develop and execute a global HR strategy aligned with business objectives.Global HR policy standardization: Ensure consistency in HR policies across all locations while adapting to local needs.Talent management & workforce planning: Lead global recruitment, hiring and succession planning to cultivate future leadership.Employee engagement & experience: Implement initiatives to enhance retention, satisfaction and performance.Training & development: Standardize onboarding and continuous training while tracking employee development.HR Systems & Data Management: Implement centralized HR systems to track KPIs and improve decision-making.Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure that a safe workplace is provided across the whole organization in collaboration with the H&S departmentLeadership & communication: Serve as the primary HR resource for senior management and foster a strong HR culture.Compensation & Benefits: Oversee global benefits programs and advise on competitive compensation strategies.Innovation & continuous improvement: Stay ahead of HR trends and implement process improvements to enhance the employee experience.

Qualifications

Are you the right fit?

10+ years of senior HR experience, including expertise in talent development, retention, compensation and recruitment.Proven experience leading HR teams across multiple international sites, ideally in the manufacturing industry.Fluency in English and French, due to interaction with our international facilities University degree in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline.CRHA designation (or equivalent) preferred.Strong knowledge of global HR policies, labor laws and employment regulations.Experience managing HR systems, data analytics and KPI-driven performance management.Familiarity with M&A HR considerations and integration is a plus.Ability to influence, collaborate and communicate effectively at all organizational levels.Strategic thinker with strong business acumen, balancing long-term goals with immediate needs.Demonstrated expertise in training, development and learning programs.Experience working within a shared service business model.Exposure to Continuous Improvement tools and methodologies.Availability to travel internationally on a semi-regular basis.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
