Job Description
The ICB Analyst is primarily responsible for intercompany accounting and intercompany billing settlement processes. This position reviews data sources for accuracy and completeness, collaborates with business functions, accounting shared service teams, Treasury COE and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) to ensure intercompany transactions are recorded in compliance with AbbVie policies and U.S. GAAP. The role requires accounting knowledge, ability to clearly communicate and collaborate effectively across multiple teams with all stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
Global Intercompany Billing Analyst reports to Global Intercompany Billing Supervisor.
Responsibilities:
Support intercompany billing process through journals preparation and booking coordination.Manage verification, control, and adjustments of statuses of intercompany pre-approval forms in workflow.Interface with business, Tax and other FSS centers to process necessary amendments to ensure full compliance with Accounting Policies for intercompany transactions. Initiate and review intercompany netting payments ensuring alignment with Treasury COE including exposure to foreign currency transactions.Reconcile intercompany accounts between entities in SAP; work with affiliates and Corporate to ensure no out of balance intercompany billings. Support analysis of aged intercompany balances and propose resolution.Manage financial close process for manual intercompany billing activities. Provide BPO partner with guidance for resolution of accounting issues.Propose and implement initiatives aimed at improving efficiency and quality of the process.Qualifications
In progress or completed degree in Accounting.Strong problem-solving abilities and communication skills.Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.Fluency in English.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
