We are seeking PhD candidates to participate in a 6-month paid fellowship. The Fellowship will enable PhDs candidates to explore a potential career transition into Equity Research. The Fellows are provided with training and hands-on experience on a research team as well as networking and mentorship opportunities. 

The Fellowship:

Is open to PhD candidates in a related/relevant field who have graduated between December 2023 – December 2024Does not require finance experience, however a demonstrated interest in investing and a knowledge of the markets is required

As a participant, you will:

RESPONSIBILITIES

Working closely with a Senior Analyst and other members of the division, the responsibilities of the fellow are to:

Develop strong industry and company knowledgeBuild and maintain financial modelsInterpret data and perform analysis on market, economic and industry trendsWork on company specific projectsWrite reports on companies under coverageUpdate and maintain monthly reports, marketing books and valuation sheetsRespond to ad hoc requests from clients, sales, and traders

QUALIFICATIONS

Interest in sell-side equity researchExcellent verbal and written communication skillsMeticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skillsExceptional analytical skills, critical thinking, and judgmentSelf-starter with a proactive approach and a high level of enthusiasmAbility to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environmentExperience with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)

 

Salary Range

The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $125,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
