Your role and responsibilitiesThe IS Program Management Office (PMO) Manager for Mergers & Acquisitions and Transition Service Agreements (TSA) oversees the project portfolio within IS Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A). Manages the execution of M&A/TSA projects at global/local/region level, using either ABB and/or 3rd party resources, and ensures that all related activities are executed in accordance with company procedures, project objectives, applicable quality standards, safety requirements, cost and scheduling targets. This role is contributing to the IS Services in Madrid, Spain(remote hybrid within Spain - travel to ABB office 1 week per month.) & Global #LI-hybrid. This position reports to Global Head of IS Mergers & AcquisitionsYou will be mainly accountable for: • The PMO Manager defines M&A Programs and TSAs, with key stakeholders work across Business and Functions (ex. IS, HR, Finance, Real Estate, and Tax, etc.), supports the definition and allocation of the M&A and TSA cost/budget, resources required (SME, Solution architects, Suppliers), time schedule, and detailed work allocation to Project Managers • Drives the implementation of efficiency processes that improves the speed and quality of IS M&A deliverables• Leads the global vendor management and sourcing direction of IS M&A and TSA projects• Strengthens the collaboration with Core IS and business Division IS as an enabler for speed and quality of project execution• Leverage IS knowledge and experience by assessing acquisitions and divestments, evaluating IS information related to security, ERP, Infrastructure, and company operating model, assesses risk and issues and recommends on the best way to proceed.• Reviews the legal text of the M&A and TSA (TSA Front-End Agreement) to ensure practical applicability and coverage of any risks and best practices as documented from past TSA experience. • Is part of supporting the legal and deal negotiation around M&A Contracts and TSAs, helping to explain impacts and possible concessions in line with ABB’s strategy and supporting the TSA Relationship Manager • Ensures structured governance, including roles and responsibilities, are set up for M&A and TSA. • Leads a team of Project Managers. Manages individuals and groups, global and local cross-functional teams.. • Travel: 20% with ability to travel to Zurich, US and/or MX to interface with team and senior stakeholders relevant to M&A work.
Qualifications for the roleProven M&A, TSA and IS Project Management and PMO experience in managing a global, cross-functional projects. Bachelor’s Degree in information management, computer systems, business engineering or similar Proven experience M&A and TSA Management, IS Project Methodology, IS Project Governance Model and Agile Project Management Fluent spoken and written English. Any additional language is a plus ITIL 4 foundation certification required PMP Certification and Certified M&A Specialist (CMAS) will be an advantage
