What You'll Do

As a Global IT Software Engineer Senior Specialist, you will be responsible for development and technical support of BCG's global HR applications.  You will be a part of the HR Product Portfolio and work with a team of internal and external developers, product owners, solution architects and scrum masters to deliver on the roadmap. You will be expected to be hands-on with latest development technologies, and bring innovative ways to execute faster delivery for global BCG users. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated development practices, and the creation of quality products are essential. 

What You'll Bring

Education 

BTech/MCA with 5+ years of experience in the development of business applications in a commercial IT setting.  

Experience/Knowledge 

Strong proficiency in Angular and core web technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and TypeScript. Solid understanding of RxJS and reactive programming principles. Experience working with RESTful APIs and integrating front-end applications with back-end services. Expertise in building responsive, cross-browser-compatible web applications. Experience with state management using tools such as NgRx or Redux. Knowledge of unit testing frameworks like Jasmine, Karma, or Jest, and end-to-end testing tools such as Protractor, Cypress, or Selenium. Proficiency with version control tools like Git. Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and tools like Jira. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical ideas and decisions to both technical and non-technical team members. Experience working with Front End Architecture – Monolithic, Micro-Frontend. Implement and customize UI frameworks such as Ant Design or Material Design to achieve coherent and aesthetically pleasing designs. Leverage charting libraries to visualize data effectively, creating interactive and dynamic charts and graphs that enhance user engagement and understanding. Familiarity with modern build tools and bundlers such as Webpack, npm, or Angular CLI. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and build processes. Understanding of WebSockets and real-time data communication. Keep abreast of the latest trends and technologies in web development and UI design to continually elevate our applications and user experience.

Develop and maintain complex front-end applications using Angular (Angular 9+ preferred), ensuring optimal performance and user experience. Optimize web applications for maximum speed, scalability, and compatibility across various devices and browsers. Utilize various UI frameworks to create responsive and adaptive designs. Design high-fidelity UI mockups and wireframes using tools like Figma or equivalent. Develop dynamic user interfaces using typescript and JavaScript, ensuring seamless interactions. Integrate UI elements with server-side APIs to fetch and display data. Collaborate with UX designers, product managers, and backend developers to deliver holistic solutions. Test and optimize UI elements for maximum speed, scalability, and efficiency. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in UI development.
