Job Overview:
ING Hubs Poland is looking for an experienced, visionary, hands-on, people-oriented lead to drive regulatory change by optimizing end-to-end data flows throughout the entire organization.
You will steer a large cross-border team and collaborate with various key stakeholders (predominantly with Model Validation, Model Development but also COOs, CFOs, CROs and business). You will benefit from a strong functional steer and direct reporting line into the Bank’s COO for Risk and a close collaboration with the Global Heads of Integrated Risk and Model Risk Management.
The role includes developing a vision for the risk data requirements capability, translating it into concrete implementation plans, drive specific regulatory transformation work, educate stakeholders and integrate effective data requirement management into the first- and second-line Risk Data Domains.
You will be located in Warsaw with direct steer on teams Warsaw, Manilla and Amsterdam.
We are looking for you, if you:
Have a master’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in complex transformation work and proven leadership capabilities.
Have an experience as a Senior Manager with a proven track record in creating and executing business strategy and transformation.
You are familiar with data management frameworks and requirements management, knowledge in the areas of Risk, Data & Modelling.
Can influence senior global leaders to be able to drive programs that reinforce the Risk and Data agenda in COO & CRO.
Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and verbal and written communication skills.
Have a strong experience in developing high performing teams and people development (i.e. coaching and career conversations).
English level - C1.
Your responsibilities:
You will be responsible for driving the key Risk Data priorities and strategic initiatives across different business lines which have the same or related purpose to develop, implement, and execute an organization wide risk management strategy that assures compliance with regulations and prevents, minimizes, and mitigates risk while safeguarding profitability of the business operations.
You will lead the development of methodologies and procedures that allow for effective and appropriate control of financial and non-financial risks and challenge risk management execution in the first line of defense in a large area. You question and investigate the application of risk management frameworks and intervene if necessary.
You will support the Bank’s initiatives on centralization, standardization and digitation leading to effectiveness of the (data) risk function and work with teams in retail and wholesale banking, to identify improvements.
As a Global Lead for Risk Data Tribe, you will be responsible for all operational data activities across Risk. Key objectives in this area are to streamline these end-to-end risk (modelling) data processes through automation and optimization in the full value chain. Therefore, in-depth knowledge and understanding of data analytics, building solution for structural data flows, credit/financial/market risk, modelling, and reporting is vital. This position requires integral knowledge on how to connect the dots across reporting lines, while working closely together on international projects with the teams in Amsterdam and other locations. You will also be instrumental in transitioning the Global Data Lead responsibilities from Amsterdam to Warsaw, as per the Workers Council agreed COOR RfA approved re-structuring in August.
To strengthen and grow the Risk data capabilities in the Bank and ensure delivery, continuous improvement and maintenance of the Risk Data Services ING countries world-wide.
Work closely with Global leads on their demands via the standard QBR process to prioritize and ensure that data is made readily available for use in modelling, monitoring and validation amongst other critical Risk programs.

Being responsible for your department financials, hiring, attrition, people development activities ensuring full transparency and pre-alignment with the functional Leads in Amsterdam.
Keep up with regulatory and industry developments and trends in the area of risk management. Monitor and ensure compliance with BCBS 239 other regulations.
Streamline end-to-end risk data processes through automation, optimization, and increasing efficiency of data delivery processes throughout the full value chain.
Identify and utilize data requirement tools and technologies for effective and efficient data requirements management, including tracking changes in data requirements over time.
Foster collaboration between Risk IT, data management teams, data domains, and business units to ensure effective communication and understanding of data requirements.
Implement and execute a sound governance and data quality standards across all platforms and data owners.
Collaborate with data users to define and document comprehensive data requirements for Risk analysis, modelling, and reporting.
Oversee the creation and maintenance of a comprehensive data requirements catalogue detailing definitions, ownership, and required data quality.
Provide leadership to teams that develop, implement and operate structured data and information management set-ups to ensure the flow and availability of data for business purposes.
Being responsible for transformation in terms of organization and culture and initiate improvements focusing on the efficiency and quality of services.
Ensure reporting on performance of these activities, risk reports / events to the relevant stakeholders. This includes ongoing support to Global COO Risk, Integrated Risk and Model Risk Management on meeting regulatory expectations. Where needed, develop a standardized output to proactively support these functions in mitigating (emerging) risks.
Lead and mentor a team of data professionals, providing guidance on best practices and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Manage performance, development, and training initiatives for the team and other stakeholders in Risk Data Domain across various lines of defence.
You will have a direct functional reporting line into the COO Risk of the bank and locally report into the Head of ING Hubs Poland. At the same time, will have hierarchical responsibility for the Tribe Leads of COO Risk, Model Risk Management and Model Development (Integrated Risk) in Poland.
