JOB SUMMARY:
Daily shipping execution (including but not limited to, load tendering, documentation preparation, track and trace and other daily logistical activities) related to both Domestic and International shipments originating from all WWT warehouse locations and other vendor and remote facilities. The position is also responsible to execute procedures related to export and import compliance consistent with United States and other international regimes.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Demonstrates basic understanding of key terminology and key performance indicators in the industry. Utilizes resources to complete tasks; tracks own efficiency using reports and tools. Distinguishes between activities and tasks that add differing levels of value; begins to determine potential improvements to impact quality. Identifies areas where efficiency and process improvement are needed within own work area. Uses established tools and techniques to track progress related to implementing process improvements. Develops an understanding of the company’s current tools and database system for records management. Demonstrates understanding of current records management procedures by assisting with compiling documentation. Assists with the maintenance of basic filing systems. Collects information to understand problems and identify their origin. Researches precedents and known solutions for basic or routine problems. Implements prescribed steps and ensures effective resolution, escalating troubleshooting if needed.
