PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Global Maintenance and Reliability Leader develops and implements the strategy for maintenance operations and equipment reliability for Insulation manufacturing globally. Including:
Delivering reliable, low total cost manufacturing platforms Maximizing capital efficiency Leading the Insulation Planned Maintenance (PM) Pillar Leveraging World Class solutions to deliver sustainable competitive advantage
Reports to: Global Director, Center of Excellence – Insulation Operations.
Location: Remote role 40 – 50% travel required. Must be located within 45 miles of Fairburn, GA, Kansas City, KS, Delmar, NY, Waxahachie, TX, Newark, OH.
Span of Control: Accountable for PM pillar activities, machines reliability and capital efficiency for all Insulation plants in North America (23), Asia (1), Europe (6) and Latin America (2).
Functional Leader for Maintenance and Reliability Leaders at all manufacturing plants. Regional Reliability & Controls team report to this position.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead for Safety Excellence
Uphold safety standards and strive for a zero-incident workplace using TPM and HazOp. Leverage HazOp methodologies to assess and reduce potential risk for injury or failures in asset performance.
Maintenance and Reliability Leadership
Lead strategic initiatives to enhance operating efficiency and minimize breakdowns. Provide vision for the Maintenance and Reliability function & develop and deploy the annual PM Pillar Master Plan for Insulation operations. Ensure integration and synchronization of PM Pillar activities with other Pillars. Establish standardized maintenance/reliability processes and metrics (KMI, PMI and KAI) to drive business outcomes. Responding to the dynamic needs of the business, form and reform a high performing Maintenance and Reliability team with the structure, capabilities and work processes to drive reliable, increasing business value and embodying the “Zero Breakdowns” mindset. Ensure successful achievement of major technical/equipment programs and initiatives in Insulation operations. Improve plant efficiency metrics through superior execution of the Reliability Work Process Ensure proper breakdown analysis is completed on any Operations Escalations Events and resolutions/solutions are shared and deployed across the network as applicable to reduce repeat events. Drives solution identification and implementation for any chronic or multi-plant escalation issues. Lead development of annual budgets relative to capital expenditures, manpower, repairs, etc. Facilitate continuous improvement through people deployment, productivity enhancements, high performance work teams and being a model for change.
Lead Breakthrough Performance Through Talent
Mentor and develop maintenance talent, ensuring performance and career growth. Serve as a coach and expert resource to Plant Leaders and Maintenance Leaders. Conduct semi-annual performance reviews with Maintenance and Reliability Leaders. Collaborate with HR leaders to accelerate performance and career growth.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
BS Engineering or related field 8+ years progressive technical experience in a manufacturing environment
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Advanced degree Insulation manufacturing experience a plus Reliability Centered Maintenance Certification desirable Experience of working in a TPM (JIPM) environment strongly preferred Influence leadership in a complex environment Major programs deployment Organizational change leadership
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Expertise in engineering principles and manufacturing processes. Proficiency in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and reliability-centered maintenance. Ability to lead complex projects and influence cross-functional teams. Strong analytical skills to drive data-based decision-making. Excellent communication and leadership skills to mentor and develop teams. Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
