Your Role:

We are looking for a Global Medical Lead to drive the medical strategy for early pipeline assets, including biomarker strategy. This role will focus on building the clinical and patient value proposition while identifying associated evidence generation requirements. The successful candidate will also contribute to business development decision-making for potential asset acquisitions. Location: Role is 100% remote, but location in EST timezone highly preferred.

Main Accountabilities:

Drive Medical Strategy and Planning:Develop and implement the medical strategy and planning for early pipeline assets, including biomarker strategies, in alignment with the Head of Medical, Early Pipeline & Business Development (BD)Lead the evidence generation strategy for multiple early assets and indications, ensuring alignment with the Head of MedicalRepresent Company Oncology in cross-functional asset forums (e.g., Global Project Teams) in collaboration with the Head of Medical, Early Pipeline & BDBusiness Development:Provide medical input to business development opportunity assessments regarding asset value propositions, healthcare gaps, opportunities, and evidence requirements for successful clinical uptakeNetwork and collaborate externally to identify and secure new asset acquisition opportunitiesLead the development of medical plans for early pipeline assets and indications, establishing a clear narrative from strategic imperatives to medical priorities and tacticsEvidence Generation:Lead medical input for the development of evidence generation strategiesContribute to company-sponsored studies and observational studies to address identified evidence gaps.Propose and monitor early access and compassionate use programs as applicableScientific Engagement and Insights:Develop and execute customized engagement plans, leveraging medical communications content in line with defined medical strategyEngage with tier 1 Key Thought Leaders (KTLs) and Disease Thought Leaders (DTLs)Conduct Clinical Development-focused advisory boards in alignment with the Head of Medical, Early Pipeline & BDOther Responsibilities:Develop grant and preceptorship strategies as applicableDeliver training to Global Medical Teams (GMT) on medical content, treatment paradigms, and unmet medical needs

Key Relationships:

Collaborate with Medical Communications Lead, Medical Market Lead, Project Manager, and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective strategy execution.

 

Who You Are

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Medical degree (MD or equivalent) required.8+ years of relevant experience in Medical Affairs and Biomarker Strategy, with 5+ years in related clinical practice.

Preferred Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in senior leadership roles in Medical Affairs preferred.Knowledge of clinical trials, oncology both at global and market level.
