About the Job 

At JLL, we are driving sustainability through everything that we do, across all service lines and job positions. Specifically, we are growing our Sustainability practice to drive end-to-end sustainability solutions in real estate, from site selection to decommissioning.

In this role, you will work directly with our clients, acting as an embedded extension of their in-house sustainability team. As the leader of Metering program(s) you will oversee, manage, and influence the end-to-end Metering Program aspects, including, but not limited to:

Demonstrating metering subject matter expertise by providing and articulating various metering technology capabilities, costs, and installation strategies to inform the client and help guide the client to choose a proper metering solution that aligns to client stakeholder needs and expectations.Developing requirements and leading the global, end-to-end mobilization and installation, data collection, and reporting strategy.Articulating data requirement criteria and corresponding data capture and recommending fundamental use cases for metering data analytics to drive future value.And other in-scope metering needs with the relative client contract.

You will ensure process integration across stakeholders and business functions that are tied to the metering solution, and influence behavioral changes, including change management support, required to achieve scope of work delivery and goals. This role requires a programmatic approach to embed process and program management thinking and practices into net new processes and existing client delivery workstreams, client processes, etc. In this role, you will remain flexible and adaptive to feedback and input by proactively engaging and effectively communicating across multiple stakeholders.

This position is remote, although may require periodic, in-office presence depending on client requirements.

What this job involves

Work with various client stakeholders to socialize and gain critical client multi-stakeholder standards and requirements for metering technology and corresponding data aggregation and reporting, including but not limited to:Cyber security protocolsMetering accuracy, sampling rate, installation criteriaData configuration requirementsData network requirementsDeveloping/researching and communicating various metering technology and their aspects to client stakeholders for final approval and sign-off.Understand and articulate all aspects involved with metering technology solutions.Robust communication, driving innovation, integration of feedback to remove roadblocks, and leverage opportunities.Seeing problems as opportunities, inventing and simplifying alongside our client to accelerate implementation of utility bill management programs.Work alongside other JLL service lines, embedding sustainable thinking into the total client service offering.Bringing applicable in-house JLL tools and processes to the client for problem-solving.Understanding critical stakeholder roles, strategic decision-making, and how to leverage data tracking and monitoring.Advising the client on opportunities for JLL to support larger programmatic elements, as needed, to bring all-in-one solutions for the client’s discretion.

Key responsibilities:

The following responsibilities are generally expected for this role; however, in this role you may be required to perform additional or different duties from those set forth below to address business needs and changing business practices:

Lead the development, solution planning, and establish plans for implementation, and continuous improvement of the metering program(s).Develop, drive, and continuously improve client-facing rhythm of the business activities including monthly and quarterly business reviews and annual operational planning.Provide strategic direction and guidance on ways to enhance and expand service delivery to the client, including leveraging supply chain partners, internal collaborations, and the broader JLL Sustainability Platform.Responsible for the delivery of key objectives, and targets of the metering solution and program.Establish strong working relationships with global and regional workstreams to deliver local targets as well as overarching global targets.With cross-functional view, effectively navigate changes in partnership with stakeholders, which have the potential to impact related objectives.Serve as the primary contact for program status, updates, and achievements.Demonstrate innovative thinking and proactive management in bringing new ideas and solutions to the client, and ensure they are rolled out effectively.Manage an effective team of potential direct and indirect team members, capable of delivery according to scope of work and schedule.

Relevant Degree (Science, engineering, math, or related fields)Building HVAC controls knowledge (5+ years)Expert in building data/utility metering understanding – excellent understanding here?Data management and data integration understandingPassionate about working towards a sustainable futureAn excellent understanding of the key utility billing for corporate occupiers of real estate including, but not limited to cost management, data mapping and acquisition, QA/QC, energy efficiencies, consumption trends, utility data process automation, manual data gathering optimization, data organization methodologiesMinimum 5 years of experience working as a project manager, utility manager, or relevant job experiencesDemonstrated experience in influencing cross-functional teamsExperience working with corporate clients, commercial property, property managers and an understanding of the landlord and tenant relationship is desirableProven project management skill and ability to create a project plan and follow through on milestones and tasksExcellent ability to build relationships with clients and their internal teamsAttention to detail and accuracy in written and numeric workAbility to obtain buy-in and engagement from employees at all levelsOperates with a sense of urgency and is decisive

Estimated total compensation for this position:

174,000.00 – 192,000.00 USD per year

The total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
